BURNING WOMAN was founded by Over the Bridge Arts in Oak Cliff in 2018 as a response to the #metoo movement. It has since grown to reflect all genders and cultures. BURNING WOMAN is a full evening of professionally curated, empowering performances from diverse artists reflecting contemporary themes and all that we have in common as humans.

ArtSalad 1.0 Open Call for Submissions

Garage Arts Project is excited to host ARTSalad 1.0, a virtual series, releasing this August. The aim of ARTSalad is to foster new collaborations and expand boundaries. We seek performing and visual artists from all disciplines and genres that value collaboration and curiosity, and with a willingness to take creative risks to explore new ideas and concepts.

We invite entries for interdisciplinary and collaborative pieces of work that are reflective of the theme New Horizons. By interdisciplinary, we mean that the work should demonstrate a blend of two or more art forms, genres, or cultures. And by collaborative, we mean that the work should involve teamwork with another artist(s). Entrants can interpret the theme in their own unique way, create a video of their work, and then submit it! Entries can be as experimental as you wish. You are also free to submit a snippet from a larger work. 

Our hope is that the experience of ARTSalad will lead to continued collaboration, transforming the experiment into a larger and more complete work. To motivate our participants and galvanize this process, we will be inviting three artist teams from our entries to be featured in a future Garage Arts Project event (virtual or in-person), which will include appropriate remuneration.

imPULSE dance project is seeking passionate, professional level modern/contemporary dancers for our 2021-2022 10th SEASON! Dancer must demonstrate exceptional technique and artistry. Must be comfortable with vigorous movement and floor work, and willing to take risks physically, emotionally, and mentally in all rehearsals and performances. We are looking for dancers who will dedicate themselves to the imPULSE dance project vision.
