kNOwBOX dance Film Festival 2025 Open Call
Calling all filmmakers and dancers! The kNOwBOX dance Film Festival (NBFF) 2025 is now accepting submissions for innovative dance films, live performances, and VR experiences. We seek works that push creative boundaries, amplify diverse voices, and explore the intersection of movement, technology, and culture.
Art Film Submissions: Showcase your vision on screen and connect with global audiences through a dynamic festival experience.
Live Performance (3-60 minutes): Submit a video excerpt of your live dance performance for a chance to present your work in Dallas, Texas (USA), Mexico City, or Seoul, Korea. Selected artists will receive a follow-up application to propose performances that integrate cultural perspectives or cutting-edge technology—whether through the exploration of traditions, digital elements, or multimedia innovation. (Note: kNOwBOX dance cannot provide travel/accommodation funding but will offer a small honorarium.)
360°/VR Dance-Inspired Art Film (1-15 minutes): Immerse audiences in a fully realized, interactive dance experience. These films utilize virtual reality and 360° technology to push the limits of how dance can be felt and experienced in a digital space. Created specifically for VR platforms, submissions may include shorts, narratives, experimental works, animation, and documentaries—offering a groundbreaking, multi-dimensional perspective on dance.
Join us in reimagining how dance is experienced across film, stage, and virtual spaces. Submit your work today!
