Fri & Sat, 8PM | Sun 2PM | in collaboration with Verdigris Ensemble
Be the first to see Pegasus Contemporary Ballet spread its wings and take flight! We are thrilled to present our first program the weekend before Thanksgiving at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.
On the program is the world premiere of The Gift Of The Magi, O. Henry's classic Holiday Season story told through contemporary ballet and music. Set to a sweeping commissioned score by local composer Martin Morgan with choreography by Artistic Director, Diana Crowder, this timeless love story of selfless giving is a beautiful way to kick off the Holiday Season.
Next on the program, Pegasus Contemporary Ballet and Verdigris Ensemble are joining forces for an exquisite presentation of live choral music and dance. Verdigris Ensemble will perform four original compositions from the winners of the 2019 and 2021 ION composer competition. ION strives to identify and support creative DFW students and residents through the art of choral music. We are pleased to present works that did not get the opportunity to be performed live due to the Pandemic, including two world premieres. Verdigris singers will perform alongside a new choreographic work by Artistic Associate Carolyn Ruth Trumbo, bringing innovative music and dance together in the intimate setting of the beautiful performance hall at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.
